Abstract: We have analyzed the distribution of the streamers in space from 1996 to 2000 using UVCS and LASCO images. The brightness of solar corona in HI, O VI, Fe and white light was compared with the structure of the photo-spheric and coronal magnetic fields. It was revealed that O VI brightness is closely related to the photo-spheric magnetic structure, and maxima of O 1032 and O 1037 brightness in the streamers lay well above the neutral lines of photo-spheric field. While H I has a quasi symmetrical distribution around the equator with some relatively small deviations following to the position of the neutral current sheet in the corona during solar activity minimum.

The distribution of the streamers during solar activity maximum looks more random and complicated. But it was revealed that the appearance of the streamers even during a period if the high solar activity follows to some simple rules. Based on such results the predictions of the current sheet position could be done for any coming Carrington Rotation from observation of the coronal brightness in the the current Carrington Rotation.

The hypothesis is discussed about the existence of several visibly separated rather than splitted current sheets in the solar corona during maximum of solar activity.
