Abstract: Since recent past years, Solar-Terrestrial Physics and Meteorology (STP-M) is a growing subject for better understanding the solar-terrestrial relations. We present a comprehensive review of these relations, identifying a11-year solar cycle in the equatorial lower stratosphere, Alaskan climate and Indian Summer monsoon. We also discuss some plausible physical mechanisms for the sun-earth connections. The current Solar Maximum Year (SMY) will provide an insight in better understanding of the solar influences of the solar cycle on the terrestrial atmosphere.
