The American Geophysical Union has approved to publish a volume on ``Solar Variability and its Effect on Earth's Atmospheric and Climate System'' in the Geophysical Monograph Series. Judit Pap, Claus Frohlich, Hugh Hudson, Jeffrey Kuhn, John McCormack, Gerard North, William Sprigg, and S.T, Wu will edit the volume. As to the agreement with AGU, the AGU Monograph will cover the main topics of the conference. However, the Monograph will not be a simple collection of papers presented in the meeting but it will be divided into six major chapters (Introduction, Variations in the Solar Electromagnetic Flux, Variations in the Solar Particle Flux, Physical Interpretation of Solar Variability, Solar Variability and its Effect on Earth, Future directions and Science requirements). These chapters will be written by authors of the conference papers and other experts who may not attend the meeting. Further arrangements for the book's publication will be made during the meeting when the editors will meet.
